Dancing with the Stars season 25 kicked off tonight! Head judge Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli returned to judge this season’s new contestants along with hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews. Missing from the judges table this season is two-time mirror ball champ, Julianne Hough (all the Houghs are missing!) Meet the new contestants and see how they did in the first round of competition.

Former NFL wide-receiver, Terrell Owens with Cheryl Burke (#TeamGetchaPopcorn)

First up for the night was Terrell and Cheryl! Pro, Cheryl returns to the ballroom tonight for her 20th season! Football players generally do very well in competition (Season 24 winner was Rashad Jennings.)  so I am going to give Terrell a few weeks before we start seeing some clean performance. Overall, Terrell kept up with Cheryl and didn’t miss a step, but he needs to work on his foot work. Score: 15/30

Singer, Debbie Gibson with Alan Bersten (#TeamSonBerst)

Foxtrot

Alan is finally a pro! Long-time troupe member who is best known (by me at least; this guy doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page!) for filling in for injured pros Mark Ballas and Maks Chmerkovskiy and respective partners, Paige VanZant and Heather Morris in past seasons. Eighties pop star, Debbie Gibson’s musical background will give her an extra edge in competition. She delivered a solid Week 1 performance, but she and Allan need to develop some chemistry and get closer in proximity if they want to make an impact. Score: 17/30

Pretty Little Liars star, Sasha Pieterse with Gleb Savchenko (#TeamAteam)

Cha Cha

There is no doubt that Sasha’s PLL fanbase will keep her in the competition for a while. I found her very nervous throughout her performance often a head of the music, but she never missed a step. I believe once she overcomes her nerves, she could easily be a frontrunner for the finals. Not to mention more creative choreography from Gleb! Score: 18/30

Property Brother, Drew Scott with Emma Slater (#TeamHotProperty)

Foxtrot

One-half of the Property Brothers teamed up with reigning mirror ball champ, Emma to dance a flat-footed Foxtrot. The one foot height difference between the pair is definitely going to be a challenge, but we’ve seen Emma work wonders with her partners in the past. Remember Bill Engvall in Season 17? Score: 16/30

Shark Tank‘s Barbara Corcoran with Keo Motsepe (#TeamSharkeo)

Salsa

Poor Keo! Will he ever get a finals-worthy partner? With the exception of Jodie Sweetin in Season 22, Keo has yet to make it pass an 11th place finish. How is he supposed to get a fan-base to vote if we don’t get see him interact and teach his partners? I would love to see what choreography he can bring to DWTS. Barbara Corcoran seems so enthusiastic and happy to be dancing in a literally shark tank and being all over Keo (he doesn’t seem completely thrilled about her marriage proposal). Unfortunately, I smell another early finish to the season for Keo. Score: 14/30

Actor and singer, Jordan Fisher with Lindsay Arnold (#TeamFishUponAStar)

Tango

Can you say jackpot? Maybe Lindsay can actually win this season. Jordan is no stranger to dancing with  Hamilton and Grease: Live on his resume.  He performed one of the best routines of the time with a Tango you would expect to see somewhere around Week 3-4 of the competition. He was actually leading his partner! I was impressed and Jordan has a new fan! He is definitely a contender for mirror ball. Score: 22/30

Cha Cha

Nick’s got some big shoes to fill. Brother, Drew Lachey was in audience tonight and brought his mirror ball trophy he won with partner Cheryl Burke in season 2. (Let me remind you of this finale freestyle.) I was super excited to see this performance, but I got nothing from it except the feeling of shame after staring at Peta’s insanely toned body months after giving birth. Score:18/30

TV personality, Vanessa Lachey with Maksim Chmerkovskiy (#TeamBabiesAndBallroom)

Cha Cha

As Len told Nick, he better watch out because wifey, Vanessa can actually dance! It was so adorable that they brought their team name to the dance floor with glitter baby carriages and baby carriers. I thoroughly enjoyed her dancing and I can’t wait to see more. And as I had predicted, married life and a baby has soften Maks or as Tom put it, “lost his personality”. Score: 21/30

Actor, Frankie Muniz with Witney Carson (#TeamFranneyPack)

Foxtrot

Remember Frankie Muniz from Agent Cody Banks, they happened to mention it a couple thousand times in his pre-performance package. Also, finally a partner Witney had heard of! Frankie was genuinely excited to be dancing, but the nervousness was all over his face. I think with Witney as his partner, Frankie can easily improve and turn his enthusiasm into great scores.  Score: 19/30

WWE wrestler, Nikki Bella with Artem Chigvintsev (#TeamSmackdown)

Tango

If I were Artem, I would be afraid of his partner who ended the dance flipping him over her shoulder (body slam?). However, Nikki’s routine lacked emotion and she spend most of the dance looking down with a few hiccups here and there. Score: 20/30

Former NBA player, Derek Fisher with Sharna Burgess (#TeamHoopsAndHeels)

Salsa

Derek Fisher’s mom had the best reaction when he told her he was competing and she reminded that Len will be watching his feet. He began his week 1 performance with some High School Musical-esque coordinated basketball dribbling. Sharna didn’t waste time showcasing his strength with lifts (lifts are ok in Salsa!) and overall gave a solid performance. I think Sharna can work her magic and change basketball players’ rep on the show. Score: 18/30

Paralympic swimmer, Victoria Arlen with Val Chmerkovskiy (#TeamViVa)

Cha Cha

Amazing and inspiring! My mouth was hanging open by the end of Victoria and Val’s dance. A year ago, Victoria was learning how to walk after spending 4 years in a vegetative state and 10 years in a wheelchair. Now she is competing on Dancing with the Stars! Her routine was full of energy and her smile lit up the entire ballroom. Score: 19/30

Violinist, Lindsey Stirling with Mark Ballas  (#TeamSTARK)

Cha Cha

I was so excited to hear Lindsey Stirling was competing! If you are a longtime DWTS watcher, you may remember that she has performed many times! Lindsey’s performance consisted of sharp footwork which Len called “the dance of the night.” With her musical background and Marks super creative and edgy choreography, I predict Lindsey will be in the finale (unless another Sabrina Byrant or Heather Morris thing happens again.) Bonus points for Game of Thrones reference in the team name!  Score: 22/30

Remember, there was no elimination this week and all dancers will be back next week Monday for Ballroom Night and Tuesday for Latin Night with an elimination at the end of each. That’s two dances to prepare for week 2! Week 2! I am stressed for these dancers! Don’t forget to vote for your favorites!

Most memorable year week is usually the most emotional night of the season and this year was no different. This week also happened to be the week for many stars to perform some of their best dances, including the first 10s of the season! Without further ado, let’s discuss some of the bests of the night!

Jordan and Lindsay’s Contemporary

Jordan’s most memorable year was the year he was officially adopted by his grandparents. After sharing that his mother had him at sixteen and struggled with substance abuse, Jordan performed an emotional routine that was near perfection, earning two of the first 10s of the seasons! Watch it here!

Lindsey and Mark’s Viennese Waltz

Lindsey Stirling’s most memorable year was the year that she lost her dad to cancer. As tribute to her dad, she danced an elegant Viennese Waltz in which we were transported to a story about a father and daughter. Mark’s choreography was magical and so creative that it tugged at all of our heart-strings and included him wearing Lindsey’s father’s hat and scarf he actually used to wear. See it here now.

Most Improved (overall)

Drew and Emma’s Jive

Honestly, it was very difficult to pick just one couple this week for this category because it seems like so many of the couples showed improvement. However, there was something extra special about Drew’s jive. His most memorable year was the year he and his brother offically became The Property Brothers. Drew’s flicks and kicks were so on point and he kept up very well with the choreography. In addition, his brother Jonathan also joined in to make a trio which was so entertaining and delightful to watch!

This week each couple performed a danced to bring to life a movie genre for, “A Night at the Movies”. Joining the judge’s table this week was Shania Twain who also performed her new song “Solider” on the show. Let’s get down to recap the best and worst of “A Night at the Movies”!

Best Dance of the Night

Lindsey and Mark’s Sci-fi Argentine Tango

Flawless and incredible are just some of the words that came to my mind when I saw this dance. Not only was the set design and costuming on point, Mark’s choreography did not waste a second of the music. Playing to the theme and music, subtle movements and gestures filled in the gaps between the main Argentine Tango parts. Most of all, the theme did not take away the Argentine Tango which was technically very clean, sharp, and crisp. Watch it here!

Best Theme Interpretation of the Night

Victoria and Val’s Sport Paso Doble

While not technically, the best, I feel this dance needed a shout out. You could feel the energy the Victoria brought to the ballroom as Val skillfully blended the hockey theme with Paso Doble in his choreography. Overall, I thought it was very good Paso that was very much underscored.

Worst Dance of the Night

I feel like a broken record, but Nick improves very little from week to week. This week was no different. Although, he totally rocked his western outfit, Nick was stiff and off-step for most of his Samba.

It’s Halloween and team dance week! The remaining couples danced two dances this week. Of course, at the end of the show there was an elimination, except this time, the Halloween Grim Reaper brought a surprise double elimination! Let’s recap the night first.

Best Dance of Night

I couldn’t pick just one dance. This season’s cast are all growing into wonderful dancers and many routines night did so well tonight! Frankie and Witney’s contemporary, Lindsey and Mark’s Paso, and Jordan and Lindsay’s Paso all included.

Best Costume (and effort for powering through it)

Lindsey and Mark

Lindsey is one tough cookie. During last week’s rehearsal, she dislocated her rib. She powered through the pain through out week in rehearsal and tonight performed an excellent Paso Doble. Those flawless knee walks, though! While her pain could be seen physically as she danced, overall she did gave a clean and technically great performance.

Most Improved (and Creepiest)

Frankie and Witney

Besides the creepy storyline of Frankie’s dance. He did an amazing job performing it and playing the part, earning him a perfect score. This comes a week after being at the bottom of the leaderboard. Frankie is back on top again!

Most Disappointing Dance

I was equally excited to see both teams dances this season because I thought for sure they both were going to score perfect scores.  But how did the team consisting of Jordan and Lindsey Stirling score so low? Crunched for time, the dance didn’t come together very well and it lacked the synchronicity of a team dance.

Was it just me or does it seem like this season is becoming less and less competitive? The finals are just 2 weeks away and Jordan Fisher is the only competitor consistently receiving perfect scores or heck, any perfect score. When I tuned in to watch, I was easily distracted (sorry for the lack of tweets) because nothing seemed to keep my attention until Lindsey Stirling or Jordan Fisher were performing. This week the trio round was slightly different from before. Instead of a troupe member or an eliminated pro (we know Val would pick Maks), a former Mirrorball champ/finalist joined the remaining couples. Let’s see how the stars did this week.

Best Dance of the Night

Jordan and Lindsay’s Quickstep

Lindsay has produced some of the best choreography I have seen on DWTS (of course it helps having a partner who can execute it). This quickstep was no different. In fact, it got a standing ovation for Len! Check it out for yourself here.

Best Trio

Just like Lindsay, I was definitely seeing double! There are so many similarities between Jordan and Corbin and their dancing skills are included. I believe what made this trio stand out more than the others was that Corbin and Jordan have a very similar dancing style which helped them earn a perfect score.

Who did it better? Jordan Fisher or Amber Riley back in season 17

And I am out of categories for tonight… basically, there is a good chance Jordan and Lindsay are taking home the Mirrorballs this year (in my opinion, although I wouldn’t be opposed to Lindsey and Mark winning, but Mark has won a few times already.)

A lot goes on in this episode of This Is Us, so I’m not going to drag out an intro. As usual, the show tugs on your heartstrings and makes you feel all the emotions. In the past, Rebecca and Jack experience the adoption process. We also see more of William’s struggles. In the present, Randall meets Deja’s mother, Kevin is still in a spiral, while Kate and Toby almost tie the knot.

The Past:

The Adoption Process

Anyone who’s experienced the adoption process, understands how difficult it can be. Jack and Rebecca learn this first hand as they go through the process of officially adopting Randall. Unexpected visits from their social worker, family photos to commemorate the event, and court hearings… they went through it all. Mind you, the photographer wasn’t shy about commenting on how the exposure and lighting for them isn’t something they usually deal with – eye-roll. However, even after the social worker gives them a rave review, the judge postpones the hearing because he has questions for their social worker who wasn’t at the hearing. Of course, this baffles Jack and Rebecca.

They approach the judge outside of the courtroom. Even though it’s a bad idea, he takes them to his chambers to discuss his concerns. He doesn’t think Randall should be with Jack and Rebecca because they’re white and he’s black. He explains that he didn’t understand what being black meant until he was 9 years old, and believes Jack and Rebecca will never be able to teach Randall what it’s like to be black. Before either Jack or Rebecca can argue, he dismisses them.

Tricky Exposure

Later, Rebecca receives the photos back from the family shoot, and as she’s looking at them, it’s clear the photographer never got the exposure/lighting right in each shot. Remembering the family photos on the judge’s wall and sick of people judging her family, she takes matters into her own hands. She cuts a good shot of Randall out of an otherwise bad photo, and pastes it onto a good shot of the rest of the family and sends it to the judge with a letter. “Randall is my son, whether you approve or not, whether you sign a paper or not.” She tells him that “exposure is tricky” but they’ll keep doing their best and keep going back to the courthouse until he does his job. You tell him, Rebecca!

Three weeks later, the family goes back to the courthouse for the rescheduled hearing. However, their original judge has recused himself from the case. They get another judge who is more than happy to officially make Randall a Pearson.

The Most Disappointed Man

We’ve seen glimpses into William’s life, but I feel like this week’s is a bit more telling of his struggles, not to mention emotional. In his younger days, he’s in court for drugs, and upon seeing that William doesn’t have a record, the judge voices his disappointment. This doesn’t bother William, though, as he argues that he is the most disappointed man the judge has ever met. He’s lost his mother, his girl, and his son. So, he has no problem being thrown in jail because there’s nothing waiting for him outside of it. ☹

Later, before William’s next hearing for sentencing, the judge talks to him. William’s words stuck with him. He tells William of his own disappointments of having to put people behind bars for so many years. He has to write terrible stories for people without being able to change the ending for them. But he wants to help change William’s, if William will remember his face whenever bad things tempt him. So, William promises to do so.

William keeps his word once he’s free. He pictures the judge’s face as he passes a couple men smoking and drinking on a corner. However, when he’s older and the doctor informs him that the treatment for his cancer isn’t working, William gets some heroine. He sees the judges face and keeps prepping it until he gets a knock at his door. It’s Randall telling him that he’s his son (from the series premiere). It becomes clear that Randall is what kept William from going down that dark hole again.

The Present:

Deja’s Mother

Due to a court order, the day has come for Deja to finally visit her mom in jail. Deja can’t wait to finally see her mom again, but Randall can’t say the same. Beth has to remind him that it’s a package deal. So, he obliges and takes Deja “to the clink.” They go through security and hand over some belongings, and then wait. They wait longer than expected only for Linda (their social worker) to tell them Shauna (Deja’s mother) doesn’t want to see Deja. ☹

Randall is furious as to why Shauna can get away with it when it’s a court mandate. He takes his anger out on Linda, who puts him in his place. He then feeds Deja a lie as to why her mom isn’t coming so that it won’t be so hurtful. Deja wants to get her purse so she can make sure her mom gets something – the allowance she’s been saving up so that her mother can get whatever she needs. Awww ☹

Back at home, Beth is furious about what happened. The tables have turned. Usually she’s the one calming Randall down, but now he’s the calm one. She’s done letting Deja’s mom hurt Deja, and then declares that Deja will not have anything to do with her mom so long as she’s under their roof – court mandate or not.

Randall goes to visit Shauna by himself. She got beat up, and admits doesn’t want Deja to see her face. Randall doesn’t offer any sympathy, and informs her that he and Beth know what’s best for Deja. He even tells her that they’re thinking of enrolling her in a different school. Shauna takes major offense to this, and asks if Randall has a white wife. “Don’t get it twisted, sis. I wake up every morning next to a headscarf and coconut oil. I’m married to a black queen.” YESSS, RANDALL! He then tells her that she should start making better life choices. Shauna argues that she isn’t in jail by choice, “People who have choices say that mess,” insinuating that she and Randall have different lives. She then declares that she’s what’s best for Deja and will get Deja back. Ugh, this won’t end well.When he gets home, he informs Beth about what happened, and they agree this isn’t going to be easy. Randall then tells Beth that he gave Shauna their number and she’s going to call collect so she can speak to Deja. She does, and you can see the happiness all over Deja’s face.

Kevin’s Downward Spiral

I worry more and more each week about Kevin, y’all. He keeps spiraling down into a darker hole, and I’m afraid he’s not even close to hitting rock bottom yet. He’s been bailing on visiting Sophie three times now, and she’s calling him out for it. So, he numbs his sorrows with beer and pills. ☹

Not even Kate and Toby adorably announcing their pregnancy lifts his spirit. Speaking of, that announcement, they do so by wearing matching shirts. Kate’s wearing one that says “Baby” with an arrow pointing down to her stomach while Toby’s arrow is pointing at her. Kevin tries to show excitement, but it’s clear something’s up with him. Kate notices it too.

After he leaves Kate and Toby’s, Kevin heads to a jewelry shop and buys THREE engagement rings! Typically, I love the possibility of an engagement, but not this way. He hops on a red eye to the East Coast to surprise Sophie at the hospital, but she’s out on a transport. So, he waits there. While he’s waiting, he dreams of his future with her and their future son. It’s not a pretty sight. He’s a drunk and terrible husband and father. ☹

Later, Kevin finally shows up at Sophie’s and she worries. He starts babbling about how there’s literally nothing inside of him to give to her. She notes that he’s spiraling, but he keeps on by saying this is the real him, not the one who wooed her back. He claims that then he was just trying to be like his dad or even Toby. He tells her of his “nightmares” and how he’s trying to save her from “40 years of disappointment” with him. Sophie starts crying as she closes the door on him. ☹

Shotgun Wedding?

After Kate and Toby tell Kevin about the baby news, Toby’s afraid to break the news to his mom. She’s not thrilled about them moving in together, so his Catholic, unwed son having a baby is bound to send his mother over the edge. Kate has a possibly perfect solution: get married ASAP at City Hall. They’re both all for it it until they get to City Hall. Kate gives plenty of reasons on why it’s so much better, but it’s obvious neither of them are really into a shotgun wedding. Toby knows it’s not what Kate wants, and has a sweet conversation with Jack’s urn before ultimately calling his mom and breaking the news to her. Then, he surprises Kate the adorable proposal that she deserved and offers the wedding of her dreams. Ugh, I love them!

Not going to lie, I had to go back and rewatch Paige and Mark’s original dance because it was really difficult to remember what it was after seeing Jordan and Lindsay’s performance. With Lindsay’s amazing choreography and Jordan’s excellent execution (nailed those cartwheels!), the two never missed a beat and perhaps created a new iconic dance. Compare the two yourself below!

He’s checking the real estate section because he’s decided to take a logical approach to starting up Big Three Homes. Instead of quitting his job, he’s going to dip his toes in a bit by flipping a few houses. Rebecca thinks it’s a great idea. They ponder how it’s their last Super Bowl day before the kids leave for college. Kate comes in complaining that Randall’s been in the bathroom for an hour. Rebecca tries to get Kate to understand, but Jack yells for Randall to get out. When Kate leaves, Jack and Rebecca down their OJ shots, and the day begins.

Later, Rebecca shows Jack a listing she thinks would be perfect to dip his toes into. She’s even already called the realtor. It’s then that Jack propositions her to be his business partner. She did do a great job with their house after all. Rebecca loves the idea and agrees before they get all lovey-dovey. I love them so much, but it makes my heart so sad.

Kevin’s Tude, Randall’s Date, and Kate’s Confidence

This week, the teens are pretty angsty. It’s to be expected, though, with college looming just around the corner. Randall’s probably the least angsty. He’s just smitten with the red head (Allison) from the mall. She came over for the super bowl party, but they both bail to go see The Titanic. Jack isn’t too happy about Randall missing the game, but lets his son go anyways. He later returns home with a goofy grin and confesses to his dad that he got his first kiss. Awww!

Meanwhile, Kate finds out she’s in the final round of applicant’s for Berklee School of Music. She just needs to submit another audition tape, preferably one of her own songs. Rebecca and Jack, of course, get super excited for her. Jack offers to video tape her audition, but Kate declines. Jack doesn’t listen, though, and secretly video tapes her singing. She catches him and cops an attitude. She tells him to stop calling her beautiful because it doesn’t work anymore. Later, she watches the video and tells Jack to never stop trying to make her see herself the way he sees her. Unfortunately, she still bails on watching the game as well.

I understand Kevin’s woes about his dreams being crushed, but his attitude towards his parents is getting on my nerves. This week he’s sulking about filling out the application for community college. He even mocks Jack’s interest in the entertainment center he built – as long as his hands are busy, they aren’t reaching for the booze. When Sophie tells Kevin she got into NYU, he whines about how he’s supposed to play in the super bowl, not watching. Now he’s destined for community college. He bails on the watching the game and goes to Sophie’s instead. He later calls to apologize, but tells his mom he’ll talk to his dad the next day. – Sigh.

Fire Starter

Throughout the episode, there are scenes of an older couple, George and Sally, going through the junk in their garage. Their house has been on the market for three months, and they haven’t gotten one bite. Sally insists it’s because of all the junk and tells George to get rid of it – even his juke box. He reminisces about how she always used to come into his diner and “That’ll Be the Day” would be playing. He doesn’t want to get rid of that. The sweet story, however, doesn’t change Sally’s mind, and she still wants him to clean it all out.

At first, I thought the couple’s home would be bought by Jack and Rebecca for Jack. Nope. George gets a box from his garage and takes it across the street to soon-to-be parents, Jack and Rebecca. They happily accept the used crock pot as George explains that you have to fidget with the nob a little.

Fast Forward 17-18 years, and Rebecca’s still using that crock pot for the Pearson’s annual Super Bowl event. The day didn’t go as planned. Jack wakes up that night thinking Kevin finally came home, but it was just Randall who had a special night. After Randall heads to bed, Jack takes some time to clean up the Super Bowl food. He flips the crock pot off, writes a note to Kevin, and pets the dog before heading back to bed. Something glitches at the nob of the crock pot and it catches fire to everything around it. As the fire spreads, we see glimpses of memories at the Pearson family home before the episode ends.

Growing Older

In the present, Beth and Randall have bought William’s old apartment building. Randall is all gung-ho to get started, while Beth – who knows the business – is thinking more logically. Ellaria needed to be punished for that and I think it was quite the appropriate way to do it. Although you could argue that Tyene doesn’t deserve to be punished for what her mother had done but Cersei needed Ellaria to feel how it made her feel to lose her daughter.

Bran returns to Winterfell

A very unimpressed and creepy looking Bran finally returned home to Winterfell. Sansa greeted him a big hug tears pouring while Bran kept straight faced and seemed to give zero care whatsoever.

Out by the Weirwood tree Bran and Sansa are talking and instead of them having a happy sibling reunion Bran proceeds to tell Sansa he is now the three eyed raven, saw her getting raped on her wedding night and pointed out how beautiful she looked. Wow, hello savage Bran what happened to you. Sansa of course walks away quite upset at Bran’s odd admission.

Sansa informs Bran that Jon has set off to meet the dragon queen. Bran tells her he needs to talk to him, I am assuming of course that he wants to talk about the whole R + L = J thing. Like, really Jon? you couldn’t wait a couple more days for Bran to get there.

Hopefully Bran can reach Jon in some way before he engages in the hanky panky with his own aunt.

Casterly Rock & R.I.P Olenna Tyrell

Dany decided to send Grey Worm and The Unsullied to take Casterly Rock from the Lannisters. Upon killing all the soldiers that were there and taking Casterly, Grey Worm grows concerned that there were suppose to more Lannister soldiers. We then learn that the Lannister’s knew of the attack and had taken their most strongest soldiers and headed towards High Garden. The gave up Casterly Rock to Dany but not for free, they took something from her also.

Jamie lead the army to High Garden where they took out their army and he had a one on one with one of the most amazing characters Game of Thrones has had, Olenna Tyrell. She knew what was coming, she knew that Jamie was there to end her life. Olenna didn’t put up a fight, she drank the poison Jamie had given her and accepted her fate. But not before letting Jamie in on a few truths that was absolutely amazing to watch.

She asked Jamie what is was like to watch his son Joffrey die by poison. She told him to tell Cersei that it was her, Olenna was the one that poisoned Joffrey. The way she so calmly said it just to crush the Lannister’s one last time made for a pretty awesome scene.

Olenna was an amazing character and its such a shame that we had to lose her but that Dany has now lost a huge part of her army. I guess this proves that its best to stay close with the side you are fighting for or you might get a visit from the enemy.

Jorah is cured!

All that skin peeling Sam did in the last episode seem’s to have helped as he has cured Jorah. The cure was quite simple and what we nowadays take for granted, it was all just the plain old germ theory. Remove the infected area, plaster with a salve that kills the greyscale germs and wallah greyscale cured.

The handshake the two share is very heartening. Sam doesn’t recoil from Jorah despite his state and sweet on Jorah for the extra hand he places over Sam’s, a sign of his gratitude for the first bit of human contact he’s had in some time and for the maester-in-training’s sacrifices on his behalf.

The Archmaester compliments Sam on his accomplishment much to Sam’s surprise. But rewards him with a table to scrolls to copy.

Honorable Mentions

• Drogon flying over Jon and Sir Davos as they arrive at Dragonstone. It was cool to see their reactions as I’m sure this is the first time either of them have seen a dragon.
• Tyrion complementing Jon on his brooding skills. I’ll have to agree with Tyrion on this one, Jon does look pretty good brooding.
• Dany pointing out how Jon had been stabbed by his own men. She seemed very interested, I wonder if this will be bought up again.
• Euron and his finger in the bum joke he made to try and anger Jamie. Everyone clearly know’s he’s sleeping with his own sister now and it was actually quite a funny scene.
• Mellisandre talking to Vary’s about his and her’s death. Did she just give us a spoiler of what’s to come? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Overall I really loved this episode it was exciting, heartbreaking but most of all I’m glad it had some lighthearted comedy.
